  • Our History

‘In the late 1980s, a few like-minded social activists from Ernakulam district, based in the State of Qatar pooled their resources and started some simple social activities like education awards to best students in the district, scholarships to students of good promise who were in need of financial support etc. It is this Association which eventually transformed into Amal Charitable Trust (ACT). The guiding spirit behind the noble activities was late Dr. Mohiuddin Alwaye, ex-president of our socio-cultural association and founder of Azhar Al-Uloom, Aluva.’
